Microsoft Mahjong Daily Challenge games not loading

Really reluctant to upgrade to 8.1 after the reports.  Pretty p'd off that random games are not loading on Daily Challenge.  Only had 1 month where not achieved gold medal and that was last time problems arose.  Is this happening with the full version as well?  Suspected it was linked to the ads last time but not sure what is going on this time.  Thoroughly annoying though.  Upgrading drivers doesn't seem to work and am not sure why it only affects random games unless of course this is linked to ads not "loading"  pre-individual game not dissimilar to last time problem occurred?  If this is not affecting the full non-ad version then would suggest this is the place for the Microsoft boffins to start.  Boffins?  really showing my age   :-)

Today's Mahjong app update fixed this issue for me on Windows 8.

Yesterday, Microsoft Store sent me an update request to upgrade my Mahjong game.  I updated the game and it is now working perfectly.  Hurray!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, after 23 days I got lazy and quit trying all the "fixes" over and over.

Ok - have read all here, and short of upgrading to 8.1 - which it seems doesn't guarantee a fix anyway, nothing works...  Have installed the update received end February - problem still there...  today, Classic game won't load, two days ago, lightining tiles won't load....  just spinning tile...  Urggghhh!  When is Microsoft going to fix this - only started in February this year - you'd think they could identify what caused it!
