Microsoft Mahjong Daily Challenge games not loading

or just unistall and reinstall as its the game that's at fault, which has worked for me!

Daily Challenges are inaccessible for both Minesweeper and Mahjong.  I consistently get the following error message:

There was a problem downloading Daily Challenge data.  Please refer to error code: 002000

The problem persists even if I try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.  I first noticed this problem at the beginning of April.

It's happened again, minesweeper and solitaire are fine and once again when i click on mahjong from any way of entering it just closes itself and brings up my desktop

Intensely irritating, and the apps fix makes no difference, it's still inaccessible.

Disclaimer: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.

Having same problem on my Surface. Running Windows 8. Can't update to 8.1 as I have original Surface RT and not enough room. Is there really no fix?
