Since I have updated to windows 8.1 the clock is running, I have had to reset the date and time every day off by several hours, some times by a couple of days, I did not have any problems before I updated.  I have  an ACER W510 tablet

My sources say fix is undergoing validation and it will be pushed out on Windows update soon (6 to 8 weeks max) if everything goes as planned.

On May 3, I was supposed to hear back from executives at Dell with an answer as to my tablet replacement.  That never happened.  I hear from Dell technicians about every other day stating how the team is progressing at working on the clock problem, that they will get back to me soon.  Of course, this is now almost 2 weeks later.  I wonder if they are trying to push me past another warranty timing so they don't have to do anything.

I got another set of about a dozen updates this morning, the  first of which took a long time to process.  The clock is still off.  So the rumored hotfix was not in that batch of updates.

Has the hotfix for this problem been rolled out yet? Any news?

Tried that it did NOT work. It's a bug in the windows 8.1

It did not work for me either.

At noon today, the Windows time was after midnight the next day.  I shut the computer down and started it again in diagnostic mode.  The BIOS time was right.  I left diagnostic mode, and the time jumped to past 7 am the following day, a jump of 7 hours in about 5 minutes.

Dell called tonight.  The technician told me I only a few Dell Latitude 10s have this problem.  I asked for a replacement.  He said I cannot get one.  I cannot get my money back, but I could have if I had returned the computer within 30 days.   He says I have to wait for Microsoft to do something.  Later, he agreed to escalate my case.  I am to get a call back 5 days from now.
