windows 8.1 clock running fast post update

i have windows 8.1 all updates until today, x64, bios is ok, bios battery new, and clock is constantly running ahead, even if i set it to auto update. tried all servers for time in the list. i tried all solutions posted here. The update mentioned here i cant install, says not for my pc KB2967917... i never shut down pc, i always stand by until morning. I have i7.

Nothing works. I just removed my pc clock not to see it as it only messes my schedule. 

I cant believe in 2015 microsoft is not able to make the windows clock work. Incredible. I guess i will reinstall windows.

I just recently factory restored my windows drive and I noticed that during the set up phase I was not prompted to set my time zone. The same thing happened when I upgraded to 8.1. Since then I kept getting a message to verify my account info. Go to PC Settings, access more settings online in User Accounts and edit your Personal Profile. The time zone info in my was completely wrong. I'm not sure that this is the root of the problem but I just wanted to pass this info on.

That was not the problem I had.  My replacement tablet works fine.  Of course, it took over 6 months for Dell to agree to do that.  I am glad you solved your problem.

Hey what is going on here ????  My clock is going nuts about a second faster then normal since yesterday.  What happened ??? An update that **** the clock speed ?

My Time Zone is all right, nothing changed on my part anyway but the clock is going way too fast and I'm actually off of 45 minutes.  At that reate I'll have to change my clock every 10 minutes to get it back to normal.  that's wrong !!!

This happened to me also.  After three trips to their repair center in Texas without fixing the problem, six months after the problem started, they replaced my tablet with a different model refurbished one.

No need.  I'm on a PC and what I had to do is stop the Windows Time service and restart it, set it to automatic and restart the computer.

What I don't understand is why all this changed suddently.  Ah well, at least doing the above solved my problem.  Hope this could help others.
