windows 8.1 clock running fast post update

Make sure the time zone set in the Clock settings is correct.

a. Click on the Date and Time shown in the taskbar and then click on Change date and time settings.

b. In the Date and Time tab, click on Change date and time.

c. Set a date and time.

d. Then click on Change time zone and select your time zone and click on ok.

e. Click on the Internet time tab and then click on change settings.

f. Place a check mark on Synchronize with an Internet time server.

g. In server option, select time.windows.com and click on Update now.

h. Press apply and ok and then restart the computer and check.

If the issue still persists, you may have to check the date/time and change the bios clock settings.  

Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Thank you for replying with the status.

Do you  have any third party program which controls time and date settings?

If you  have any third party applications, you may uninstall specific program and check for the issue.

Let’s first check for the status of Windows Time and restart the same check if that makes any difference.

a. Press Windows key + R,

b. Type services.msc and hit ENTER.

b. Locate Windows Time.

c. Check the status. You may stop and restart the service.

I have checked everything you requested, and the BIOS time is correct, the files were also verified, the problem seems to be with the "Set time automatically" all I have to due is turn it off, wait a few seconds turn it back on and the time is set correctly.  As I said on my first post I never had a problem until I updated to Windows 8.1. and it acts like it is not looking at the BIOS for the clock time when the computer is started.

I have the same problem with a Dell pc tablet. Everything is setup correctly. It is an issue of Windows 8.1.

Suggestion are wellcome in order to solve the problem.
