Event 7001 in the Event Viewer

All the services that you mention are the way you suggest but i still get Event 7001 in the Event Viewer and my expensive HP (Windows 7 64 bit 16- hundred euros) entertainment laptop has been rendered worthless due to random Freezes costing me hundred of lost hours and emotional agitation.

I have checked the memory for integrity, made all latest windows Updates, checked for viruses, updated all my devices in Device manager, Clean/Unclean booted, Safe/unsafe mode no god damn luck. My laptop even freezes in safe mode. I am about to through it off the window unless you save it the last minute.

    Were you connecting directly to a USB port or through the expansion port?:

    I was connecting the mouse directly to one of the available USB ports.

    My model has 4 USB ports... Here are the specs....

    You can get strange situations when using USB ports!

    4 USB 2.0 (4th shared with eSATA port). Did you connect to the shared port or one of the other three?

    I looked for a link to your computer specification earlier and failed to find!

    the above statement took me by surprise.... so i checked the documentation.

    According to this doc

    the shared eSATA/USB port is No 6 on the left side components while i was connecting the mouse to No 3 on the right side components.

    So, the answer is NO. I was NOT connecting to the shared port. I was connecting to one of the other 3.
