Event 7001 in the Event Viewer

All the services that you mention are the way you suggest but i still get Event 7001 in the Event Viewer and my expensive HP (Windows 7 64 bit 16- hundred euros) entertainment laptop has been rendered worthless due to random Freezes costing me hundred of lost hours and emotional agitation.

I have checked the memory for integrity, made all latest windows Updates, checked for viruses, updated all my devices in Device manager, Clean/Unclean booted, Safe/unsafe mode no god damn luck. My laptop even freezes in safe mode. I am about to through it off the window unless you save it the last minute.

    One shocking observation i make is that by unplugging my external Microsoft Optical Mouse

    i do not get FREEZES for the duration of my session.

    If this continues to be, i may have found the culprit.

    (by the way, the driver to the above mouse is up to date)

    Are you connecting to a USB port?

    If you use a mouse with a PS/2 connection instead of a USB connection, you must install version 7.1 of the IntelliPoint software.

    connected to one of the USB ports of my laptop. The mouse has only USB connection.

    I have IntelliPoint 8.2 64-bit for Windows 7 driver installed... which i accuse as being the culprit of my Freezing problems for the time being, unless, new evidence proves otherwise.

    well, i 'd like to verify my above presumtion first by running the machine, for awhile, without this particular external mouse and see whether i continue to get Random Freezes.

    Empirical evidence, so far, shows that by not using the external mouse Freezing does not occur. I still use the computer with no problems while earlier i would get a freeze upon trying anything on the desktop (if i was lucky to reach it).
