Bluetooth is not working with Windows 8.1
Hello,
I have a Lenovo U410 touch, and i just upgraded to windows 8.1 though the store.
And the bluettoth is not working at all, it says that the PC is searching for Bluetooth devices.
I have updated all the drivers from the Lenovo websites and still nothing is working
I went to device manager and checked under bluetooth: Intel (R) Centrino Wireless Bluettoth 4.0 + High Speed. Microsoft Bluettoth Enumator, Microsoft Bluetooth LE enumarator are all 3 up to date.
Then I went to network connections (from the start) and i have a red cross under Bluettoth network connection 2 and says not connected.
I really think gooing back to Windows 8 since i cannot listen to my music on my beatbox and connect to my phone and tablet,
Thank you for your help

You are ABSOLUTELY 1000% RIGHT!! I agree with everything in this post. Windows 8.1 will not work with your bluetooth no matter what type it is or how many times you search for, update, install or reinstall drivers. I have been trying to fix mine for months to no avail whatsoever. I am on an HP Elitebook 8730w Workstation-64bit. I have a multi-boot system that runs Vista Ultimate, Windows 7 Professional and Windows 8.1. All of my bluetooth devices connect and operate FLAWLESSLY under Vista and Windows 7 and I didnt even need the installation disk that came with my bluetooth receiver!!
For the interested, my receiver is a Cirago BTA8000 made by motorola. I have tried every which way to Sunday to install this on my Windows 8.1 installation with zero success. I even right clicked on the driver installation, chose to pick from a driver list, chose the one built into the ops system that would install the same CSR bluetooth driver from Microsoft that runs on my other two installation and that even failed miserably. I have not gone back to Windows 8. Instead I just sit there annoyed, upset and disappointed each time I have to use my touchpad while working in Windows 8.1. Microsoft is truly wrong for this.

2015-08-11T12:40:28+00:00 I have exactly the same problem and have tried all the solutions listed here to no avail. It just cannot seem to detect my new bluetooth speaker. Also it immediately connected to the bluetooth on my phone no problem. Troubleshooter also said exactly the same thing. Looks like there is a bluetooth issue with windows 8.1. I am going to a computer club next week to see what they say about it. I am at the limit of my expertise. I am having a massive bbq soon and need the speaker to be operational. It's very frustrating.
If they do manage to solve it, which i highly doubt, do lemme know. Unless of course, its a system wipe. Kinda like burning down the house to kill a spider.
