Windows Experience Index reports error. How can I diagnose and fix this?

I posted the problem about the WEI because it stated that there was an error possibly in the OS.  Since it was a new (reconditioned) computer and new Windows 7, I was concerned.  I don't think there are major problems with the system those as you can see by the rating given by the Overdrive assessment, it isn't the best.  I have already emptied the "recycle bin".

I invite you, Ratandeep and Gerry to look at the results at the above URL and let me know if there is any thing worrisome, systemically.  If not, I will not worry at all about the WEI and get on with life.

Your link takes one to the PC Pitstop website. The advice offered is too simple and is a total waste of time. Two suggestions to defragment your C drive, another to empty your Recycle Bin, a fourth regarding Firefox password and something about 4 craplets!

PC Pitstop is software that I would not allow on any computer under my control. The advice justifies my opinion.

I no longer have your files on my computer. Please provide an updated  copy of your System Information file. Type System Information in the Search Box above the start Button and press the ENTER key (alternative is Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information). Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Do not place the cursor within the body of the report before exporting the file. The system creates a new System Information file each time system information is accessed. You need to allow a minute or two for the file to be fully populated before exporting a copy. Please upload to your OneDrive (formerly Sky Drive), share with everyone and post a link here. Reports in normal mode preferred. Please say if the report has been obtained in safe mode.

Please upload and share with everyone fresh copies of your System and Application logs from your Event Viewer to your One Drive (formerly Sky Drive) and post a link here. You can remove the earlier copies of the logs from your OneDrive.

To access the System log select Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer, from the list in the left side of the window expand Windows Logs and select System. Place the cursor on System, select Action from the Menu and Save All Events as (the default evtx file type) and give the file a name. Do the same for the Applications log. Do not provide filtered files. Do not place the cursor in the list of reports before selecting Action from the menu. Do not clear logs whilst you have a continuing problem.

Yes, we are all allowed an opinion even if millions of PC users and many PC techs might disagree with it and use PCpitstop for an overall view of their own, or a "not in front of them" PC.

It is good to know that Anne's PC is in good shape. The PC pitstop test site (that's been around for 10yrs) give results shown here:

1. in depth system specs. and exactly what the computer and model is
2. all installed hardware
3. all installed software
4. all installed security (some users have too much security installed that is conflicting)
5. all non-windows installed drivers and if they are up to date
6. pass or fail from about 60 performance test results

Far from "waste of time" information about any PC.

I hope that you may have downloaded Windows 7 and created a bootable DVD from the link provided on July 8, 2014.

Unfortunately, the information that you have got from the third party website is not useful.

Note: Using Third Party Software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Third Party Software can be solved. Using Third Party Software is at your own risk.

same problem with me.

i have tried this method

I take ownership of the "C:\Windows\performance folder" and got nowhere.  Each thing I tried showed an error message and that access was denied.  Other ideas for me or should I just forget using the Experience index and the other errors?
