Windows Experience Index reports error. How can I diagnose and fix this?

I ran the checkdisk/ system file checker and did not say anything about corruoted files.

Apparently, Virtu MVP (for windows) software is a known cause of WEI issues as is Kaspersky Internet Security. Both need to be temp. disabled if installed for the WEI to work and provide a result. On checking your PCPitstop Overdrive test results to see if you have either of the above installed, which you haven't, I noticed that you have no AV installed at all (?)

You do have Melwarebytes anti-melware which is an excellent program, but it is not an AV. It is designed to work in conjunction with an AV program, not replace it.

I also use Melwarebytes (pro) but have Avast Essential (free edition) AV installed as well. They work together.

It's up to you if you wish to install an anti-virus program, but it would be a wise move.

Regarding the WEI problem, there are two tech. forum discussion on this problemHERE and HERE.

After trying many things like you have here, both thread starters in these forums finally fixed their WEI problem by updating their bios. A bit extreme for me just to fix a non-essential Windows program, but you might be determined enough to give it a try. Your choice really.
