Error: 0x80070003 when installing KB 2919355

My purpose here isn't to be an ****... I'm simply trying to help end users get past the corruption KB2919355 causes and get it installed on their system. Microsoft has been aware of this issue since at least the beginning of April and have had more than 6 weeks to help users resolve the corruption issues... instead they're peacocking and denying it causes system file corruption and doing nothing this far to admit they massively screwed up and offer a fix to get 2919355 installed and fix the system file corruption. 

I stumbled across a fix that cures all 2919355 problems accidentally, and it appears I'm the only user to do so... I'm simply trying to help others as Microsoft has already began holding patches from those without KB2919355, as there are 11 that will become available once 2919355 is installed (not the package of updates that show up via windows update, but the actual 2919355 update which in standalone form is around 640MB.

In regards to Windows 8.1... 8.1 is free, period (obviously the user will need to have Windows 8, however 8.1 isn't an "update", it's, for all intents and purposes, a new OS) This is why there is no "activation" key for 8.1, you simply use your Windows 8 activation key to activate it. I know this not only from experience, but by speaking with multiple Microsoft activation customer service reps. However, don't confuse "activation key" with "product key", as they are not the same thing in regards to Windows 8 and 8.1.

Due to Microsoft's licensing structure change that came with the rollout of Windows 8, generic product keys were publicized by Microsoft for Windows 8 and 8.1 installs that will be required in order to access the installer. These generic keys are freely available for all Windows 8/8.1 versions by googling them. These generic product keys are only there to gain access to the installer and once Windows is booted into, the end user will need to go to PC Settings - Activate and enter their activation key in order to activate windows, thereby removing the watermark and allowing personalizations to become unlocked.  More likely that not, Microsoft was attempting to safeguard it's OS from KMS activators by requiring a PK before the installer allows you to install... then it backfired.  Users with valid activation keys experienced the same thing I did... upon reinstalling Windows 8 (not 8.1, but 8) on the same computer, the product key I bought from Microsoft no longer worked to get past the installer, even though it worked to activate Windows.  This is why Microsoft released generic product keys for all versions of 8/8.1 (core, pro, enterprise, etc.).

What version of 8.1 do you have?  If it's x64 Pro, I can upload my ISO I grabbed from the 8.1 installer when I went from 8 to 8.1.

Brandon blogs about Windows 8.1 and that's why he's pointing to him.    As an aside, Microsoft is still releasing updates for those with and without KB2919355.  June is when they cut it off.

They may be releasing them, but they're not allowing access to some, or all, of them until after the actual KB2919355 (around 640MB in size) is installed.  Once theactual KB2919355 is installed, 11 patches will become available... not before.

I apologize, I was wrong about this.  Of the 11 updates that show up following the KB2919355 update, four are reoffered security updates that need to be redone after the install of KB2919355, with the remaining 7 being only applicable post KB2919355.Nothingis being withheld from impacted machines.**

You can also share files and folders in OneDrive from File Explorer. Press and hold or right-click the file or folder you want to share, tap or click Share with, and then choose OneDrive. This takes you to the OneDrive.
