This is continually repeated in every thread dedicated to the 6 main errors and it's as if many simply ignore it. Once DISM fails and returns errors twice in a row, there is nothing else to be done. There is no other program that can fix component store corruption, as the purpose of the /cleanup-image option is to prevent and, when it occurs, fix component store corruption. I don't know if it's a case of people not wanting it to be true and figure if they ignore it their problem will be magically solved by Microsoft, but I'm becoming increasingly frustrated by those who are told the solution and blatantly ignore it like it was never written. So every user who comes to this thread knows and can't say they weren't told: SOLUTION IS A REPAIR INSTALL

I agree completely. It is incumbent upon Microsoft to supply media for the customer to avail him or herself with the ability to perform a repair/install. Microsoft refuses to do so which requires users to have to resort to torrent or other sites to find such media. This is not a reasonable or acceptable solution, but because Microsoft continues to refuse to provide such media to its customers, then the issue will continue. Apparently this is of no concern to Microsoft which is why we continue to have post after post and thread after thread for the past seven weeks about this fiasco.

Try to run command DISM.exe /Online /CleanUp-Image /RestoreHealth /LogPath:C:\DismLogTest1.txt then open that log and CBS.log

I don't know if it's a case of people not wanting it to be true and figure if they ignore it their problem will be magically solved by Microsoft, but I'm becoming increasingly frustrated by those who are told the solution and blatantly ignore it like it was never written.
