Nokia Lumia 520( cyan) : Airplane mode stuck and rapidly switching on and off

I was using Lumia Black and updated it to 8.1 ( Cyan) from my phone itself ( official release). I updated to Cyan OS not longer than a month back. Everything was fine, until recently, a couple of days earlier, when I was talking to a freind of mine on my phone, the call dropped. A notification to restart my phone appered so I did it. Ever since I am stuck on the , " Airplane mode". The flight mode will rapidly switch on and off. So, I am unable to use my Sim and thus, no whatsapp, no calls..social life has been paralyzed. 

I tried Hard reset ( about menu-> reset your phone) :- three times

Soft reset:- several times

Changed SIM :- a dozen times

Tried the twitter team suggestion ( I had found on this forum itself :- http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nokia-Lumia/Lumia-1520-3-and-official-8-1-stuck-airplane-mode/td-p/2855086)

Now trying Nokia Software Recovery Tool 1.5.0 but the problem is that it is downloading 3058.50000.1425.0001, which I beleive is 'Cyan' again. I am also worried, I won't be able to downgrade to Lumia black  which I am missing a lot. Anwho, I am  currently downloading it and will see what happens, but If Nokia's Technical team can provide a solution for this software/firmware related glitch, I will be a happy fella. I am wondering, about the first occurence of this problem which I researched as being reported on Nokia official forums, 2-3 months back. By now a trustworthy solution should have been found and posted online.

    Its been 1 1/2 years since i bought My Lumia 620.........till now it never disappointed.....but this it comes up with this big unsolvable problem............

    i gave it to nokia care......they took their time for one whole month......yesterday they called me n they say tat "ur phone cannot be recovered just come n get back ur phone"..............they blame me cause i have put  it down n this caused the problem

    I have supported lumia for 1 1/2 years n this is wat i got in return...........i dont know wat to do or where to complain........n for nokia care they still ask me for service charges without doing nothing.....

    i dont whether nokia officials will atleast look into this message or this happens to be a unnoticed msg

    Nokia gets its fame............but we r the lossers........this started to occur 2-3 months but till now Nokia has not even gave us a reply.......they say "ur phone is un-repairable...." thx Nokia for Splendid Customer Service :(

    Lumia 620

    Airplane mode: stucked - can't exit; if I press the switch, it comes back to original position. Pressing button on notification panel cause switching on and off extremely fast. 

    Replace SIM_ not working

    Remove SDcard_ not working

    Restart to factory settings_ not working

    System recovery_ not working 

    It seems to be more hardware issue. Something related to USB charging port. Sometimes when system is trying to "turn on and off" that airplane mode and I plug in charger, it seems to change its behaviour. Maybe just some lagging, but... I am pretty desperated by this issue. No calling, no texting, useles phone.

    HI BRO & SIS, .MY LUMIA 520 IS NORMAL AGAIN, I WAS USING NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER /NSU AND USING LAPTOP AND CONNECT MY LUMIA, IT WAS DOWNLOAD AND INSTAL...

    I think that the solution to this problem is:-

    NOKIA must replace all our phones with a new one, as the problem arose from their side.

    Tell me what's our fault in it..huh?

    I was just talking on the phone with my brother when the flight mode penetrated my system like a virus.

    A VIRUS IT IS for us.

    NOKIA please replace our phones, so that we can recommend you to our coming generations.

    Intel replaced all the chipsets which were showing calculation error after a certain decimal places. 

    8.1 got launched without proper testing or what?

    Either NOKIA should provide a downgrade to the sweet old 8 (black) or I see no reason that people will buy NOKIA just to get a better camera.
