I got following error message while I log in to my windows account and only my account.

I tried to set Windows Live ID sign-In Assistant to manual start in Windows Services. it only works one time, once I start using Windows Live mail and log out and log back in then I get error messaged again. I tried to msconfig and uncheck Windows Live IS Sign-In that I do not see error message, but  Windows Live Mail cannot launch,

I use Windows 7 Home Premium version.

It looks like that it has something with Windows Live mail,

Your help and information is great appreciated,

Regards,

Souris,

    Thanks for the update,

Do you get my system and application logs files I sent to you?

Are there any way to check that it is not a virus?

I have Norton 360 installed on my machine, but just want to check is it possible that it is not a problem of the Windows, but virus side,

Thanks again for the information and help,

    Regards,

    Souris,

    Hi all

I find this hard to believe, but I am running Win 7 Pro and have had the same error message on all profiles since the last round of updates released on or around 19th June. Why has it taken so long to  a) escalate and b) get a solution out to customers who are being annoyed by the error, setting services to manual or disabled is not an ideal solution.

For the record I am in the UK and a server engineer, if an update has created the issue, admit it and release a fix. I have not installed any new software for a while to cause any issues.

Look forward to a response soon.

    Chris Walton

Just to be certain, is this the same error message that Sourises reports in her original post, that appears when she logs on to Windows?

I'm not aware of any Windows updates issued for W7 since 10 June. Which ones have you installed since then?

... setting services to manual or disabled is not an ideal solution.

The workaround that has helped several users involves delaying the automatic start of this service, not disabling it or changing it to manual start.

No-one has complained of any symptoms of this fault other than the appearance of an error message. Are you seeing other symptoms, i.e. having trouble signing in to any program or service that requires Microsoft Account authentication?

    Dear All

I have had to set this service to 'manual' start as the 'auto delay start' stopped working and the error message pop-up started to appear again. I must also re-emphasise that the Id link in the pop-up message does NOT exist.

Since setting the service to 'manual' start the pop-up has not re-appeared nor has there been any problems with my MS Live interactions i.e. On-line Outlook.com; Skydrive (Onedrive)

    cheers

    Andy
