Class Action Lawsuit

I installed Windows 8.1 Preview some time ago (8.1 sucked), and later found out that upgrading to Windows 8.1 RT would force me to re-install everything. I wasn't okay with this, so I just decided to keep Windows 8.1 Preview (even if, understandably, support would later be cut); however, now it seems Microsoft made the crazy decision to FORCE everyone to upgrade BY RESTARTING THEIR PC EVERY 2 HOURS! WTH????  Anyway, so now they are literally forcing me to re-install everything, but what is worse is I can't even upgrade! The Windows store isn't working properly, and the download never finishes. The computer RESTARTS before it has a chance to finish (it's over 3GB), which apparently causes the download to restart (THE ONE TIME IT APPEARED TO BE WORKING).

Anyway, I don't think this type of behavior from Microsoft would stand up in court (Windows could seriously be classified as MALWARE at this point), so if anyone is connected to some good lawyers, I think this would make for a great class action lawsuit...

BTW, I seem to remember a virus that would restart computers too...

    Oh my...!  I can reasonably bet you are;

        a.  A lawyer employed at Microsoft

        b.  Someone who watches too much TV

    Have you ever heard of the phrase "Good Faith"?  When I bought my computer, it came with Windows 8 already installed.  No choice here ( or maybe there is?).  After a few months of Microsoft "fixes" downloaded on my already working fine computer, it started to fail.  Then, while shopping on-line at the "Store", I get a message from Microsoft offering me Windows 8.1.  Knowing Windows 8 is already a failure, I went with their newer version.

    To make a long story short, it's worse!  I trusted Microsoft as the premier professionals in computing.  Not con-artists.  I had good faith in fact they should develop software in good working order. Not, toss out software and fix it later.

    Today, I get calls from India saying they can fix my problem.  How do they know I have problems?  Easy answer.  They know Microsoft Windows 8 or 8.1 is a failure and these cons are making money hand over fist from frustrated people such as I.  And you my Commander friend, make events much worse by sucking up to MS.

    All we need is a judge who uses Windows 8 (.1).  Then it becomes "The Peoples Court" (for real).

    Or Rick, we need a good lawyer who can find loop holes in the contract that says we can't have a lawsuit against Microsoft.  If they are selling shoddy products they should be liable for the damage they do.  Cars have recalls, why not Microsoft recalls?  lol.

    That's how previews have worked for 24 years now.  Nothing new.  Plus you agreed to it when you first got the preview.  Failure to read isn't a reason to sue.

    Mr. Keene, if you believe that Window 8.0 or 8.1 is a consumer ready product then I would really question your opinion especially being an MS-MVP. Failure to read a Microsoft disclaimer is not a good excuse for the failure that the software is. Bugs can usually be adjusted with a workaround but when Microsoft level II engineers spent 6 hours logged onto my high speed HP Envy 17t and couldn't fix it then the bugs are much bigger than they appear and challenge the qualifications for a consumer ready software product. When software is SOLD it also carries an "implied functionality" within its "license agreement". Unfortunately we are all finding that MS spent most of their time with the lawyers writing license agreement loopholes than they did writing functioning software for the 8.1 OS.

    Join the crowd. No one has a solution to stop the font from changing size without any movement on my part to do so. They can offer no solution for pages jumping around and  websites changing without prompt. It is so shaky and unstable that its a chore to do anything on here. I had a problem with set up that wound up taking 10 hours and $200 to clear up, thanks to Microsoft. I can't copy and print my fax to Microsoft, AVG and HP because it is a PDF that I faxed to their CEO"S.  They need to be held responsible for creating a disaster system. I have two fairly new computers here. Maybe I should take them in and see if I can trade them for a good discount on a MAC!

     I faxed my latest letter to the above named persons.  I suggest you all try this.

    Following the letter I did list the complaints which I have not included here as you all know the complaints.

    Looking at the following comments on your Community board, it appears that the Microsoft techs are adopting the same kind of attitude as our President. You create a system that’s a disaster but decide that the users are just disposable consumers so the BLANK with them.

    Look at these comments and see the following Letter that I sent to HP, Microsoft and AVG over a bad experience I had with 8.1. You should all be thanking HP for the hours they spent helping me with your system.
