After update messages Error status 0xc000012f keeps coming up?

Different messages keep popping up on my hp windows 8 laptop after I got the update downloaded onto my computer. Different windows keep coming up all concerning system32\uxtheme.dll for example:

Dropbox.exe - Bad Image

C:\Windows\system32\uxtheme.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f

it isn't just Dropbox.exe but also numerous different products and no matter how many times i press OK on many different programs more and more keep coming up it's never-ending how to i fix this please help.

Uninstall KB2879017 update.

Cumulative Security Update for IE 10 for Windows 8 x64 systems.

If you can't uninstall, restore to a previous point before the update.

Mark the update as hidden within Windows Update so it doesn't update again.

    Good point.  Been doing some investigation.

    This is new system.  After loading windows 8.1. I have found that I have 6 updates.  Note I also updated several different drivers.  And reading the various forums others have seen this in relationship to drivers updates. Why. Don't know just adding information.

    Also. I thought this problem was preventing me from loading Visual Studio 2013 and other development systems. It isn't.  I just hit 'ok' on the window and the software installs with no issue.

    I'll remove the updates and see if I can validate if this fixes the issue.

    I agree with AranSelhi.  I have Windows 10 and it always pops up with Error Status 0xc000012f.  If any of the developers see this please respond.  Not only that but my iPhone 3g is in DFU mode needing to connect to iTunes and it won't.  If you could help me with this it will be much obliged.
