Does not work (not recognized) with my work Window 7 Lenovo T540p. I'm greatly disappointed in the 6 or 7 pt system requirements in the middle of the back of the box which says Windows 8.1 (not 8 either?) is required. Microsoft seems to be chasing the cool factor without being concerned about the large core base of people who still use their products for work. I will try and be more careful if there is a next time.
Surface Arc Touch Mouse not compatible on Windows 7?
Hey all. I recently bought a Surface Pro 2. I later bought a Surface Arc Mouse. Long story short, I had to return my Surface. So, as of now I am on my laptop and I cannot get my laptop's bluetooth to discover my mouse (it's in discovery mode).
I tried googling around and couldn't find anything. Am I stuck?

2015-02-22T12:25:13+00:00 Personally for me this is more fundamental for Microsoft. This is an expensive product, i.e. more than likely its going to be used as a business device. Virtually no businesses are rolling out Windows 8 based on the normal Micorosft one bad, one good, one bad, one good pattern of OS releases.
So MS create an expensive business focused mouse and miss the fact that the vast majority of it's target customers can't use the product. There is probably someone at MS who can't work out why it's not selling and all they needed was a Windows 7 driver. Nuts.

2015-02-17T20:05:10+00:00 I don't remember exactly what driver it was. Go to the Dell website, enter your product info and find the area for drivers and downloads. Download and install all the latest Bluetooth drivers. Good luck!

2015-02-17T16:47:20+00:00 Thank you!! I have been using my Arc Mouse Surface Edition mouse with my Windows 7 work laptop for a few months now. After seeing your post, I went to the Dell support site and saw there was a Bluetooth driver update from last Fall that I did not have. I updated the driver and presto, the mouse now works!
The only downside is that I need to re-pair it with either device when going from one to the other. I cannot get the menu that you show in your post. I have not downloaded the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center.
If I have already paired it with the laptop, but later used it with the Surface Pro and then go back to the laptop, the profile is still there on my laptop. I hold the button on the mouse to pair it, and then have two profiles for the mouse, so I delete the old one. The same thing happens when I go back to my Surface Pro- I have to hold down the pair button, wait for it to pair (which takes a while sometimes) and then get two entries for the mouse. I can't see how to pair with the old profile for the mouse in either laptop or Surface Pro.
Minor inconvenience compared to being able to use it on both devices.
KCMatt, I am unable to find an updated Bluetooth driver for my XPS14 running Windows 7. Do you know what the Bluetooth driver was you downloaded?
