Windows 8.1 Update Error Code: 0x80240031

I am getting error code 0x80240031 during download of Windows 8.1 for 50% of Downloading. Can anybody help me fix this?

    i tried solving this problem 2 days by myself, trying all method that i got from some forum including from here and got nothing >_<

    and i called microsoft technical support (stupid, i didn't do it since begining ^^), and it solved!! the guy from microsoft said, it is because of the internet connection, maybe some provider settings (firewall, proxy, etc) bothering the instalation, he asking me for change the internet connection, and done, i can update it to 8.1

    so, i suggest you all that experience this problem, call microsoft, it is the best way for solving it :D

    Ok  I have had this problem ,  2 weeks now , kept getting this code 0x80240031 after downloading from APP store at 50% , done everything that was posted here still no change. Decided to once again format Hard drive and reinstall Win 8 . ( SUCCESS ) Here's how I done it .

    1. Reinstall Win 8..

    1. Activate win 8 then go to power settings and change (you don't want your pc to go to sleep  during this) 
    2. download all updates but only in groups of 20 ,it will take a little bit longer but it is worth the wait :-)
    3. Install your Anti-virus , I am using AVG with the tune-up. I checked my Registry with this tool and there was over 20 errors , hard to believe ?? Fixed errors and restarted.

    5. Disable Antivirus and firewall  

    1. download Win 8.1 from APP store

    On the first attempt to install win8.1 it installed 100% but when it come configuring it failed and restored to win 8.

    Now do this

    Before going to the APP store and trying again( ,Disable your Anti-virus and firewall again

    I believe that the first time somehow the anti-virus must have been turned on .

    Second time was a success :-)
