Windows 8.1 Update Error Code: 0x80240031

I am getting error code 0x80240031 during download of Windows 8.1 for 50% of Downloading. Can anybody help me fix this?

    You can give it a try by reinstalling the Microsoft update manager or agent from th below link at:-

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946928/en-us

    after this reinstallation, and retry the update function to see if this works..........

    Did you ever get this resolved?

    Having same problem on VAIO 64bit Win 8 Pro - error 0x80240031 in all attempts.  Installed all the updates. run the sfc checks.  restored to earlier version, removed incompatible drivers.  No joy at all!!!
