this is the right forum for 8.1. everyone talks about using ie and closing all the other browsers when installing 8.1 my point is that ie is not safe still. so lighten up a bit and stop being so rude. we have enough issues with Microsoft as it is
Windows 8.1 Update Error Code: 0x80240031
I am getting error code 0x80240031 during download of Windows 8.1 for 50% of Downloading. Can anybody help me fix this?

i don't think its the internet providers problem.. i changed my internet connection several times...
i tried installing windows 8.1 5 to 6 times but still same error even though the download percentage differs. Please try to help me coz i really need windows 8.1.
