Use the Nokia Software Recovery Toolto recover your
phone if you have software or software update problems. If your phone is

you shouldn't need to use software to "Update" to the lastest version. that is rolled out automatically when it is available for your product code. so if you are asking in case your particular device has not been pushed the update, then proabably not. as if your product code had an update available, it would have pushed already.
not able to go backwards in firmware....with this software.
Can I use this tool to update my phone firmware ?
You are always offered to install the latest version available for your phone, which means in your case you already have it.
In my 920, Nokia Software Recovery Tool is suggesting to install the same software version already have. 3051.40000.1349.0001. Does it has any sense?
As stated, it is specifically for software recovery and nothing else. Big difference with Nokia Suite right?
