2015-05-06T17:26:23+00:00 The only real problem I saw with Vista on systems with appropriate hardware was that UAC was an attention-hog. But that was an annoyance rather than an actual problem. Thankfully the notifications were dialed back a bit in 7 & 8.

2015-05-06T15:51:39+00:00 Well LCRT....
I guess you missed Windows Me; Windows Vista and Windows 8 (.1)
XP, and even Windows 2000 makes the above Operating systems look like jokes and they were all 'new versions' at one time.
Mike
well Mike - when someone asks "Will it become better than windows 8?", what is anyone supposed to answer? "oh no, I've got my crystal ball here and it tells me that Microsoft is purposefully making the next edition of windows worse than the current one. my crystal ball also tells me that the release date is a bit over 2 years from now". So... there's nothing else to say other than what I said.
PS: Vista was fine if you had the appropriate hardware. XP was **** until a couple of service packs later. i'm not going to comment any more on this matter because it is pointless. you'll insist on your cool mainstream opinion, and i'll have my own.
