Maybe it has something to do with Globe's connection. I have the same problem with GioSantos07 but I'm using a Globe broadband stick.
Error code: 0x8020002e unable to update or install windows 8 pro apps.
Original Title; I can't update or install windows 8 pro apps.
i've tried all of your methods but still not working. i troubleshoot the apps, create another microsoft account, creat a local account, clean the registry, refreshed, reset and reinstalled windows but the problem is still there. it says, Error code: 0x8020002e. i have a good internet connection.

2013-11-08T15:24:22+00:00 Hi! all !
I found a solution for error # 080072ee2
and I think it can be a solution for Microsoft Windows Upgrades.
open "Computer" and search smartscreen.exe.
Disable / Stop this function. There are 3 radio buttons. You must select the 3rd.
Before you start the download some tips:
1. read Informations 8.1 "Computerbild.de"
2. make a screenshot of your desktop. (It may be, that 8.1 is making some changes)
- you have Windows 8? I have written down my structure of the APPs and its names.
(It may be, that 8.1 is making some changes)
4. you should have to disconnect all external hard discs.
(I forgot it and I have great problems.)
5. you must be sure, if the download and Installation is ready that Microsoft upgrade find an Internet
Connection automatically, without any name and Password ( You Need it for the licence Agreement.
!!! Otherwise the Software rebuild Windows 8.)
- Change your Password. No signs, which are build with (German "Alt Gr"-button).
(I was very surprised, that I couldn't Login.)
- Helpful but not necessary is a landline.
Now you can start the download.
But.
You shall have allways a look to your Internet Task Manager, where you see download is running or not.
if the download stops: stop the download (downloadmannager), wait 5 sec. and start it again.
(I think if you make the download by using a modem some timeouts are close the internet-Connection.)

2013-11-08T05:48:28+00:00 Microsoft need to look into this issue its very annoying. I reset my computer to factory settings and only then it actually worked but only for a while. After the first windows update it was back to the same problem again. I am confident that its something in the update conflicting with the ability to download from the store.

2013-11-05T18:20:12+00:00 Hi Brayl!
Sorry, I can’t.
I have changed my Internet-connection. (modem to another modem) [USB-Stick]
All Apps-Download works with the new modem. Only Mircosoft-Apps don't work.
Now I have Error-code 080072ee2
I must find an landline and I hope its work.
An other possibility is the „firewall“ or „antivirus-software“. But this I try I later
