Error code: 0x8020002e unable to update or install windows 8 pro apps.

Same problem here with two different Windows 8 Systems.  I am using a mobile Wi-Fi with SIM card. I have the problems since 2 weeks... MS please do something!!!

I am encountering this problem now but i don't know how to make the network connection non-metered because i am using a mobile broadband given to me by my network provider. can you please help me...

Just want to share... I tried to isolate the problem with my device. Like I mentioned I am connecting to my broadband device using Wi-Fi.

I first did a continuous ping on my router's gateway address (192.168.1.1) to see if something is happening with my connection. I noticed that even my connection to the router is acting up (I sometimes get a "request timed out" error... heck it's a local address!).

When I tried to connect my device via USB, I'm not getting any problems.

My first impression was, perhaps either the Wi-Fi connection, or some setting in the device might have caused the problem, because I am not having this problem before. Turned out that setting WPA2 in my Wi-Fi security in the device is causing it. I downgraded it to WPA and my connection to the router gateway is now stable.

And then, I tried installing another Windows Store app, and I could now download successfully.

If you are also using a Mobile Wifi for your device, then perhaps you should try lowering down the security of the device to WPA. Or, restore your settings to factory defaults and see if the problem goes away. Then by trial-and-error, change settings one by one.

Just want to ask those who are also using Globe Broadband in the Philippines, what device are you using, and what plan are you currently subscribed to?

I'm using a Huawei E586E Mobile Wifi device supplied with my Globe Tattoo Unlimited 999 plan.

I have to admit that at times, my internet connection is not stable, but I understand it's the nature of mobile broadband connections. My problem though, is why am I having the same error even if the connection is fast enough (1Mbps and above is fast enough for me).

Perhaps we can isolate if this happens largely to users of the same ISP, so we can isolate the problem.

You said you're using a broadband connection too? Then try this one if it works for you:

Right click on the icon of your internet connection. (It is located on the system tray).

Then tick "Open Network and Sharing Center"

On the right side, click Change adapter settings.

Find the modem that you are using. And right click on it, then tick Properties.

Click the Configure button on General tab.

Change your maximum speed to 921600 and check all the boxes.

Click OK and you're done! Try this one. Hope it works for you now.

This wouldn't apply to me, because I'm using my broadband connection via Mobile Wi-Fi (meaning, I am connected to the device using my Wi-Fi connection), thus, I would not have this setting.

I'm still having problems updating using my broadband HSPA+ connection, even when my connection speed is going up at 2Mbps and higher. But the cable internet I'm connected to (also via my Wi-Fi connection) even at 1Mbps and below, would still complete the download.

I'm from the Philippines, and I'm using the Globe Broadband Postpaid with an HSPA+ connection that goes up to 7Mbps at night. Even at that speed, I still couldn't finish installing a Store app.
