Original Title; I can't update or install windows 8 pro apps.
i've tried all of your methods but still not working. i troubleshoot the apps, create another microsoft account, creat a local account, clean the registry, refreshed, reset and reinstalled windows but the problem is still there. it says, Error code: 0x8020002e. i have a good internet connection.

Oh, so are you from the Philippines? I'm using a Smart Bro broadband stick. I will try using other ISP for internet to investigate my problem further. In the meantime, I'll consult other sources to ask about my problem. And sorry for bothering you so much. Salamat ulit (Kung Pilipino ka)!

I was experiencing your problem too when I am using my stick on a different ISP. Okay let's be specific. When I am using my Globe sim card, my apps are always failing to download. Since I am not on a postpaid plan, I am free to unlock my broadband stick. So I did it. And I tried to use my Smart sim card. I didn't do any re-installing or something. I just switched into a different ISP.
Then PRESTO! Everything is normal again!
Well I was just thinking that maybe the problem is on your ISP? That is what I was experiencing before so I switched into a different ISP. Sorry to say that dude. But thanks too for doing all my advices. Good day!
I'm sorry for the delayed response.
My broadband stick is a bit old (three years to be precise). When connected, Windows detects it as a dial-up modem. To connect using it, I must use a third party software that comes with it. Every time I connect to the internet, it creates a device under the Change adapter settings. And every time I disconnect, that device disappears. My ISP said that this is normal. I tried doing the procedure you asked and it asks me to redial the device. But if I do this, the settings I change will go back to normal as I stated above.
I investigated my problem further more and found some more details. Since I don't have any other options for internet connection, I tried to put the SIM card of my broadband stick in an android phone and turn on its mobile network and portable wifi hotspot to make it like a WiFi connection. However, even in WiFi connection, the same error code appears when installing apps from the Store (0x8020002e). Then, I tried to tether my connection via USB using the same android phone (mimicking an Ethernet connection), and it is still the same.
Another one, I found out that I can install VERY SMALL apps from the store (whose size are in KB or less than 5 MB). Of course, most apps in the Store are way larger than these sizes.
You said you're using a broadband connection too? Then try this one if it works for you:
Right click on the icon of your internet connection. (It is located on the system tray).
Then tick "Open Network and Sharing Center"
On the right side, click Change adapter settings.
Find the modem that you are using. And right click on it, then tick Properties.
Click the Configure button on General tab.
Change your maximum speed to 921600 and check all the boxes.
Click OK and you're done! Try this one. Hope it works for you now.

I stopped the DNS Client service as you said and made sure that it doesn't run. Sadly, it didn't solve the problem.
