Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your issue description , I understand that you need to delete the uninstalled App history from the Windows App Store.

Unfortunately its not possible to delete the uninstall App history in the windows 8 App store. Its designed like that .So in future if you want install any of these apps again in your computer you don’t to have search for that in the whole App Store. You can just select “My Apps” and from there you can install that once again very easily.

Hope this helps. Please get back to us if you have any other questions

if you uninstalled the items, they mostly are not on your computer, except for maybe some left over registration and configurations.  Because if you paid for it, you or another user might want it back someday ?

I understand and appreciate why the store was designed this way but to not be able to completely delete an app from the history is ridiculous. I don't want to even try any more apps because I don't want to make my list any longer than it is. What's really bad design is that the list of uninstalled apps show up on the list of "apps on your computer" which makes matters even worse.

How about the stupid Western Digital app that auto-installs itself when you PLUG IN the drive (no confirmation AT ALL)? Now that stupid thing is forever living in "My Apps" - gee, thanks.

For me Windows 8 is the best Windows version yet. However...! This is one part that I really don't like. Not to be able to delete Uninstalled App History is unacceptable. It is my PC and I would like control over it. Saying that it designed like that for some obscure reason that Microsoft dictate is in the users best interest is unsatisfactory. I would like to be able to make that decision myself thank you. As other contributors have also said, it has made me reluctant to try out Apps and end up with a potential pile of cr*p showing in the history which would grow like Topsy.
