Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your issue description , I understand that you need to delete the uninstalled App history from the Windows App Store.

Unfortunately its not possible to delete the uninstall App history in the windows 8 App store. Its designed like that .So in future if you want install any of these apps again in your computer you don’t to have search for that in the whole App Store. You can just select “My Apps” and from there you can install that once again very easily.

Hope this helps. Please get back to us if you have any other questions

P.S. Complaining to MS about the history list is a waste of time.

obviously ... since they are not interested in implementing the basic feature to kick even one of the myriad of crappy apps you often go through until you find the one useful one in the store off your history.

they seem to want to make it as hard as possible to actually find and reinstall what was useful in that giant smelling trash heap that is the current history should you ever set up a new device.

i have given up on the subject quite a while back and simply decided to never ever install anything that costs a single cent from that store. in the end missing basic features like this one will just push people from adopting the app-store and disincentivise programmers to develop for it -> microsoft looses out.

slap them with a closed wallet ... still the most effective way to punish stupidity in companies.

I thought about this for a few months now, and just realized something.

I know what I "have" fairly easily...

The history thing is mostly a reminder list of what NOT to get again.

If you think of it that way, it can be a little more useful.

OTOH, I never experiment too much anymore and this is a little hard on

the Developers. I stick with regular desktop programs.

    The Apps are a mess.

I'd start a different thread about your problem. You are getting lost in

all the noise about the history list in general.

You need much more specific help than this question subject will get you.

(A good subject line is worth its weight in gold.)

Sad to say, I can't help even if you try to make your own topic question.

Plus, if loosing 17G is just an example I'd say you have a real problem.

(Sounds a little like the problem I had with the Win10 install files in general...)
