Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your issue description , I understand that you need to delete the uninstalled App history from the Windows App Store.

Unfortunately its not possible to delete the uninstall App history in the windows 8 App store. Its designed like that .So in future if you want install any of these apps again in your computer you don’t to have search for that in the whole App Store. You can just select “My Apps” and from there you can install that once again very easily.

Hope this helps. Please get back to us if you have any other questions

The reason they likely did this is to prevent the need to reissue PAID apps when someone accidentally deletes them... i.e. to reduce support costs... (and this WILL happen as I am sure most would agree)

Of course a weak password that gets hacked could also cause this problem for a user ...

However..... there SHOULD be a mechanism to at least hide unwanted apps - like there is in windows update - as long as the core files are removed from the PC, the tiny amount of residual data left by this wouldn't bother most people -

On top of that - FREE apps and trials should offer the option to totally purge since there is no financial loss if done accidentally or maliciously...

This is a huge oversight and poor design by Microsoft. Of course people are going to want to remove uninstalled apps from the history. Please correct the problem and allow people to remove unwanted apps from the history.

please, if you can, improve this feature and let us delete our app history in future.

    hope you'll see to it!

    thank you!

Horrible design. The apps I want to remove are unofficial apps for programs that I didn't know weren't official when I downloaded them like the Sony Pictures app. I don't care to have that junk in my history. It makes me not want to try other apps either so I don't clutter up my app history with junk that sucks which there is a lot of.
