Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your issue description , I understand that you need to delete the uninstalled App history from the Windows App Store.

Unfortunately its not possible to delete the uninstall App history in the windows 8 App store. Its designed like that .So in future if you want install any of these apps again in your computer you don’t to have search for that in the whole App Store. You can just select “My Apps” and from there you can install that once again very easily.

Hope this helps. Please get back to us if you have any other questions

you can delete apps from the my apps screen. simply right click the shortcut and click open file location, then delete the shortcut thart you find there. if you delete shortcuts to any metro apps or the desktop itself, they will cease to work.

The fact that 2 years later and 20 pages of complaints hasn't caused Microsoft to fix this is asinine. If Windows 8.1 had not come preloaded on my hybrid it would have Ubuntu on it just like every non-Android device I own. Your product is substandard and your customer service is worse. Great knowing you Microsoft.

Actually while I do agree that this "design decision" (more like "seemd a good idea at 3:00 am while being totally wasted") is a sad joke, I have to speak up for microsofts customer care. I had nothing but good experiences when talking to and working with them to get stuff fixed.

So while I gladly would pick up a big club and have "a talk" with the guys in charge of certain design decisions, the MS cc is among the best in the industry as far as my personal experience goes ... they just can not help us in this matter as the stupid decisions are made outside their sphere of influence.
