how to delete the history of uninstalled apps in win 8 store

when i uninstalled apps in win 8 ,,, i dont know how to delete that history because when i checked in "your apps"(in win 8 store),,

there were history of unistalled apps..

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your issue description , I understand that you need to delete the uninstalled App history from the Windows App Store.

Unfortunately its not possible to delete the uninstall App history in the windows 8 App store. Its designed like that .So in future if you want install any of these apps again in your computer you don’t to have search for that in the whole App Store. You can just select “My Apps” and from there you can install that once again very easily.

    This is a huge oversight and poor design by Microsoft. Of course people are going to want to remove uninstalled apps from the history. Please correct the problem and allow people to remove unwanted apps from the history.

    Horrible design. The apps I want to remove are unofficial apps for programs that I didn't know weren't official when I downloaded them like the Sony Pictures app. I don't care to have that junk in my history. It makes me not want to try other apps either so I don't clutter up my app history with junk that sucks which there is a lot of.

    This is clearly not a technical issue.

    The REAL reason?  I think it's for marketing purposes.  I think Microsoft wants to say that "x thousands of people have installed so-and-so Windows 8 app" being they're not allowing us to technically "remove" it from a Win 8 machine.

    If we were allowed to remove the apps, the world will know there are actually a lot fewer Win 8 apps that are REALLY still installed.

    Take this and pass it around.  It'll probably show we (and the media) are on to them and that their numbers are bloated, and finally motivate Microsoft to do the right thing.
