You do not know how to use Windows Explorer?
Go at it this way...
- Click Start
- Click Run
- Type C:\Windows\system32\dllcache and hit enter
- Find the sysdm.cpl file and right click it, then click Properties
Repeat the above but substitute C:\Windows\system32
EDIT: To see extensions (the .cpl bit) in file names you might need to enable this in Folder Options...
- Once Windows Explorer is open click Tools, then click Folder Options...
- Click the View tab
- Scroll down and untick the box for "Hide extensions for known file types"
- Click OK
Do you by chance use Norton to protect your system? This can and does interfere with the system restore process. This link courtesy of ElderL, a fellow contributor...
