Recieve a BSOD after KB2859537.

When I install KB2859537 on my Windows 7 X64 machine I get a BSOD during reboot either trying to boot normally or trying to boot in safe mode. Had to restore the primany disk three times now to get the PC bac. Can someone report to MS tech please.Anyone else seen this

    Always happy to try relevant suggestions but:

    1 I have the latest BIOS installed

    2 The microcode hotfix linked doesn't apply to the Intel Core i5-2500K

    I also have another machine running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit where KB2859537 has installed successfully.

    Thanks for the processor information, I hope someone at Microsoft finds it useful.

    Intel's latest microcode update for Linux was yesterday on 14th August 2013.

    As you observed, the Windows 7 update is very old, it came out shortly after Win7 SP1.

    If you need more recent Intel microcode, Microsoft only offers Windows 8...

    "I" personally have only opened one case with a BSOD.  I am not blind.  I am not sure if these folks have opened support cases with Microsoft.  And I'm sorry if my having MVP is causing communication issues between us so can we drop the attitude here people and get back to helping people here?

    I am stating a fact that at the present time I personally have only opened one case with Microsoft and they have yet to get their act together and identify the root cause.   I do not think anyone is fabricating anything.  What I do know is that Microsoft support people had not yet reviewed the log files sent (and I still see them assigning the case around up there in the support queue - which I need to ask why they are doing that delaying the investigation)

    Given that in the early hours of a patch issue many times Microsoft does not see forum postings as true support cases it is why I go out of my way to use my own personal time and energy to open up support cases for others so that they can be a free case for them. 

    I know it's frustrating when these patching issues constantly occur and I ask that you be patient with me as I'm not the root cause of the problem

    I deeply thank everyone helping with these issues.

    Just want to post my experience with the current patches...

    I have 15 PC's in a test group, the patches are supplied via WSUS. All of these machine are Optiplex 755's and 960's. They have a mix of Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad CPU's, and a mix of 2GB and 4GB of RAM. 8 of these are Win 7 x86, the other 7 are Win 7x64. They are all running Trend Micro WFBS for the A/V. Also, 6 of these PC's are running IE10, the others are running IE9. This test group has been fully patched, and so far during testing none of them have had any problem at all.

    Since the update is a kernel update, I wonder if someone who is experiencing the issue could uninstall their antivirus and then try the patch to see if there is any change...
