    This is ditry problem for many users...

    Perhaps, but like my colleague Susan, I think it's too early to jump to any conclusions at this point.

    TIP: Ideally, you would never, EVER use System Restore to "undo" an update, Service Pack, or IE upgrade (which often leaves the system in a "confused" or "torn" state)! Instead, uninstall the update, Service Pack, and/or IE upgrade & reboot. If that doesn't correct the problem, then try System Restore.

    That being said...

    @Shamnigurat & anyone else with a similar problem: To avoid confusion & duplication of effort, please begin your own, new thread in the appropriate forum. State your current IE version and full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; WinXP 64-bit SP2; Vista 32-bit SP1; Vista 64-bit SP2; Win7 32-bit; Win7 32-bit SP1; Win7 64-bit; Win7 64-bit SP1; Win8 32-bit; Win8 64-bit; Win8 RT) in your first post.

    If you upgraded to Win8, please state that as well as your previous Windows version (e.g., Win7 64-bit SP1; Win8 32-bit Release Preview) in your first post, too. Thank you.

    Thank you very very very much for that, while you wait for MS support can you run a sfc /scannow on the restored system?
