Recieve a BSOD after KB2859537.

When I install KB2859537 on my Windows 7 X64 machine I get a BSOD during reboot either trying to boot normally or trying to boot in safe mode. Had to restore the primany disk three times now to get the PC bac. Can someone report to MS tech please.Anyone else seen this

    Could you please tell me how many updates do you have installed now? I'd like to know, for a related 'project' I'm running.

    I hope you'll tell me this despite the fact that I wasn't here in time to tell you to try this hotfixbefore reinstalling. Although, to be fair, reinstalling is a more definitive solution.

    Well good news is that a clean install has fixed the missing registry entries problem. All windows updates now applied successfully, allthough KB2872339 was downloaded rather than KB2859537.

    I have been reinstalling all of the applications previously present and checking the registry every so often, but so far nothing has removed them. Obviously in 2 years lots of applications have been installed and removed though so could have been one of those or simply a corruption at some point, but it does look far from random as both registry entries were missing, but those around were unaffected.

    So message for MS is to display or log some sensible error message rather than casing a BSOD please.

    Just to prove the point I think I'm going to try a clean install, which, if there has been a corruption at some point in the past, should fix the issue. See you in a while.....

    Been reading all the posts with my fingers crossed

    A lot of the posts are way over my head :)

    OK, I just installed some updates today but  2872339 gave me a fail to install. I tried again

    after a reboot but I just hid the update 2872339 like I did 2859537

    The update history error code was 8007371b

    I was thinking of installing a new replacement hd drive and try the whole thing from the start on my daughters computer.... hardware or software issue ?  Is that the question ?
