Recieve a BSOD after KB2859537.

When I install KB2859537 on my Windows 7 X64 machine I get a BSOD during reboot either trying to boot normally or trying to boot in safe mode. Had to restore the primany disk three times now to get the PC bac. Can someone report to MS tech please.Anyone else seen this

    I did not install KB2859537 (due to potential of BSOD), and have been following this thread.

    It appears that KB2859537 has been superseded by KB2872339 ??

    However, the description for KB2872339 states that there are some known issues with that update that can result in a STOP 0x6B if the following registry entries are missing.

    Really Microsoft?  How many people know enough to check their registry before installing an update that MS sends and will install automatically if that's how you have it set (luckily I don't).

    I am not going to install KB2872339 until I do some checking.

    On my Win 7 x64 system, I do not have any registry entries below this one:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SideBySide

    So I am reluctant to attempt to install KB2872339.

    Anyone else in the same situation? Has anyone successfully installed KB2872339 while not having any/all of the three registry entries specified above?

    I have looked at this hot fix (but not yet installed it):  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821

    Has anyone tried this hotfix?  Does it install the requisite registry entries as shown above?

    285937 gave me the BSOD on a reboot.  It never installed. ergo I hid it.

    .oops..It gave me the BSOD when it was trying to install.

    Looks like a new install for me to fix the problem.

    I'm not quite following.  What caused your BSOD?  You said you had 2859537 hidden.  Had you installed and then uninstalled it but still getting BSOD?   I thought uninstalling fixed it.  I know you tried the new update but it didn't install.
