Touch screen not working for Asus laptop

Nearly a year after you posted this it fix a touch screen issue on my Asus Zenbook.

Hey all. I had a similar issue with my Zenbook Touch UX31A

I wrote Asus several times and like many in this post it would come back. For no apparent reason my touch screen would stop working. I'm 90% sure it has something to do with a short-circuit when plugging in charger and/or when the laptop sits in standby for a period of time. Either way, this post helped me fix my issue.

I don't have a wizard, but following the same routine I went to the device manager. Then under human interface there was a USB that was not enabled. I enabled it and voila.

I do hope you enjoy your new Mac. I tend to use my mac more than other machines. It is currently in storage, as well as my dual boot windows/linux notebook, my 'Hackintosh OSx86' Project with a glowing apple mod. And, no, I haven't been able to get the hackintosh to boot properly yet. If you don't know what hackintoshing is, I would like to suggest the use of Google.

I am currently using my new Asus X550C(A) (win8.1) Touchscreen laptop, it works fine with a few hardware bugs, but the touchscreen went odd, (I am actually on my second one of these, DUE TO TOUCHSCREEN PROBLEMS. [accidentalcapslocklol]) the first one I had worked fine. for about a day. the first time *I* turned it on (It was pre-setup, you see), there was a dead spot on the right hand side of the screen, but it was just unnoticeable, but, when I think back to when I couldn't use the touchscreen to scroll in Google chrome, I knew that there was something odd. one or two days later (I can't remember when it started, It was in between the period of the day after I had first turned it on, or the day after that or the day after that...) The problem was, the dead spot got worse, and I mean MUCH WORSE. It was like there was a whole family touching the screen wherethe dead spot was. It was nearly impossible to use the computer at this point, but I still managed to disable the touchscreen in tsk manager. A few days later, (Yes, a FEW days later) we took it back to the shop (currys/pc world) and THAT shop didn't have any left, so the next day, we had to commute to the 'Megastore' in Lisburn. they had one in stock. and that was the story of 'le touchscreen de problemé'. so, yeah.

I would also love to help you on any (most) apple mac/Apple related problems you have with your mac. I would ALSO like to know which one you got. I will be waiting on the Apple support website (or here) if you need me.
