Can you check the following registry key?:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

At that registry key, in the right window, is there, under "Name", either an UpperFilters or LowerFilters value?

If so, for each of the UpperFilters and/or LowerFilters value, what is listed under "Data"?

    Hi shikinrahman,

    As there are no UpperFilters or LowerFilters values there does not appear to be a problem at that registry key.

    What is the issue you are having with the CD/DVD drive?

    When did the problem start and did the start of the problem coincide with any hardware or software change?

    What computer do you have (make/model) ?

    I upgraded to windows 10 and now no DVD player. I've tried all the suggestions, deleting driver, rebooting. Deleting the Upper Filter (didn't have the Lower filter) Nothing is working. I have a Toshiba Laptop L750. Please help, thank you.

    Hi,

    Since you have a Toshiba there is the following FAQ from Toshiba which may should also apply to a Windows 10 upgrade:

    http://support.toshiba.com/sscontent?docId=98084086

    Try uninstalling the two programs (TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator, TOSHIBA Disc Creator) if they are installed.

    Be sure to restart the computer afterward
