Hi getting above message with device manager for this hardware TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H653N ATA

Ive tried running the Microsoft trouble shooter but this doesn't help any ideas? Running Windows 8 thanks

Can you check the following registry key?:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

At that registry key, in the right window, is there, under "Name", either an UpperFilters or LowerFilters value?

If so, for each of the UpperFilters and/or LowerFilters value, what is listed under "Data"?

    Hello, your posts seems to be very helpful, I went there to data to delete the value of upper key, so accidentally (I didn't see how but somehow) I deleted completely upper key file.

    What should I do now??

    Hi Ergin,

    If you deleted the entire UpperFilters value that should not be a problem.

    Can you restart the computer and see if the issue with the device is resolved?

    Is the device a CD/DVD drive?

    If so,  if you find any software associated with the drive, for example iTunes, does not function as it should you may have to reinstall that software but use the latest version of the software.

    AUGGY, you're the man... I did solve the issue.... I had to install a printer through CD(Drivers) so I just followed the steps you suggested and YOU'ROCK!
