I had this problem and think I have found the cure. Open up the Nvidia Control Panel (probably bottom right tasks bar) left hand side of control panel click on Phys configurations, click on automatic and change to GForce (if this is what your computer runs) click apply - hopefully this may cure your problems. TDR is the Timeout, Detection, and Recoverycomponent in Windows. **** What happens is the Graphics Display driver for the installed graphics card stops responding. When this happens, windows will stop and restart the driver to fix the problem.
The most common reason for this issue is that the graphics device is being overloaded or used beyond its capabilities.
This happens most often when playing graphic intensive games, but can happen with any process that uses a large amount of graphic resources, such as when editing or creating videos.
Some things you can do to avoid these problems:
a. Make sure you are using the latest graphics device driver.
b. Manage your time working with programs that are graphic intensive, exit any other programs that might also use a large amount of resources.
I would suggest you to download and Install the latest graphic card drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check.
You can install Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode if there are no Windows 8 compatible drivers.
Follow these steps:
a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
b) Type compatibility in the search box and then press enter.
c) Click “Run programs made for previous versions of Windows” option from the list appeared in the left side.
d) Select the drivers and install.

I have checked the drivers and power options they are working fine.! Could the problem be from an installation error?
Yes, it can. AMD, Nvidia, or Intel? It is more likely with AMD/ATi. In any case, have the most recent driver for your graphics card. Use Device Manager to completely remove the driver. Reboot. Install latest driver specifically for your hardware. Do not use a generic driver. Nothing helped me with this error until I did this. If you cannot get a specific driver you might want to consider updating your card or making sure it is clean of dust in case either of those situations is the root cause. A dirty card also can cause this error if the card is under strain because it isn't adequately cooled.

When I installed new version of driver then it also failed. While updating my windows defender it occurs (vedio tdr faliour ) and my computer starts rebooting again and again. How to fix it helpme please.
