I had this problem and think I have found the cure. Open up the Nvidia Control Panel (probably bottom right tasks bar) left hand side of control panel click on Phys configurations, click on automatic and change to GForce (if this is what your computer runs) click apply - hopefully this may cure your problems. If not increase the power to your cpu,
I get an error, "video tdr failure".
Original title : video tdr failure
what is that mean?? how to solve it, does it effecting the video quality in my pc?

TDR is the Timeout, Detection, and Recoverycomponent in Windows. **** What happens is the Graphics Display driver for the installed graphics card stops responding. When this happens, windows will stop and restart the driver to fix the problem.
The most common reason for this issue is that the graphics device is being overloaded or used beyond its capabilities.
This happens most often when playing graphic intensive games, but can happen with any process that uses a large amount of graphic resources, such as when editing or creating videos.
Some things you can do to avoid these problems:
a. Make sure you are using the latest graphics device driver.
b. Manage your time working with programs that are graphic intensive, exit any other programs that might also use a large amount of resources.
I would suggest you to download and Install the latest graphic card drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check.
You can install Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode if there are no Windows 8 compatible drivers.
Follow these steps:
a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
b) Type compatibility in the search box and then press enter.
c) Click “Run programs made for previous versions of Windows” option from the list appeared in the left side.
d) Select the drivers and install.
If the issue persists or you have further questions on Windows, please do not hesitate to let us know. We will be glad to assist you.

2015-07-13T15:10:41+00:00 I am running the latest drivers for the NVidea 740 4G and I get this error, when the system goes to sleep. I am very tempted to change the setting to shut down, but after a reboot, the system returns to where it was including when an application was running like a Virus Scan.,
I am now running Windows 10 Preview and I am seeing the problem again, but once I returned my system to Windows 7 the error stopped appearing, but was present when on Windows 8.
