I had this problem and think I have found the cure. Open up the Nvidia Control Panel (probably bottom right tasks bar) left hand side of control panel click on Phys configurations, click on automatic and change to GForce (if this is what your computer runs) click apply - hopefully this may cure your problems. TDR is the Timeout, Detection, and Recoverycomponent in Windows. **** What happens is the Graphics Display driver for the installed graphics card stops responding. When this happens, windows will stop and restart the driver to fix the problem.
The most common reason for this issue is that the graphics device is being overloaded or used beyond its capabilities.
This happens most often when playing graphic intensive games, but can happen with any process that uses a large amount of graphic resources, such as when editing or creating videos.
Some things you can do to avoid these problems:
a. Make sure you are using the latest graphics device driver.
b. Manage your time working with programs that are graphic intensive, exit any other programs that might also use a large amount of resources.
I would suggest you to download and Install the latest graphic card drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check.
You can install Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode if there are no Windows 8 compatible drivers.
Follow these steps:
a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
b) Type compatibility in the search box and then press enter.
c) Click “Run programs made for previous versions of Windows” option from the list appeared in the left side.
d) Select the drivers and install.

I had the same problem on one of my four Win10 upgraded computers upgraded from Win7 and worked my way through the posts. Three had NVidia Graphic cards and one laptop has an Intel GPU. One of the three NVidia systems crashed randomly within an hour and another crashed about once a day - both sometimes corrupted my Lightroom catalogues, system discs and data discs. I was spending more time repairing the consequences of these crashes than using the computers for work. All of my equipment performed very well under Win7 but it has the problem under the new Win10 with NVidia systems and drivers.
A range of problems can cause this error. However, this is more than old graphics cards overheating causing this problem (I am sure that it is happening in some cases but not in mine). It happens because of the new combination of Win10 (software) with new NVidia drivers are not fully compatible with some NVidia architecture for some makes of card. Whatever the problem is, it has gone on too long for me without Microsoft and NVidia sorting it out. I can no longer wait for a software solution so after being a NVidia only computer builder for decades I am sorry to say that I have now switched to Radeon cards and so far the new Radeon R7 370 that I purchased to replace the NVidia 9800GT that was in a computer I build many years ago and which crashed within an hour (even without any application running), is now running without any problems. I have not quite thrown my NVidia card in the bin (I will hold it as a spare for one of my other computers when the incompatibility problem gets solved). The Radeon card seems to be performing well. As I am not a gamer but use programs that are highly graphics intensive I am pleased with the results so far. Will I go back to NVidia? I might depending upon circumstances but for now I am content with a trouble free system allowing me to get on with my work.
In my case root of this TDR failure issue was damaged video card in my Laptop. So this is hardware problem, not software unfortunately :(
The CPU running like that happens on my laptop also (2015 Razer Blade Signature Edition). and I think that is only when running the Edge browser. I think the browser has a memory leak as over time the amount of memory and CPU being used starts to skyrocket to almost %90. (I have a I7 and 16GB of RAM so this is very weird.)
