My laptop was working fine last night, however I left it on and unplugged and it died. This morning I am getting an endless loop of 'Your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart. We are just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you' 

the message pops up for one second and then the VAIO logo reappears before the blue screen pops back for a second. This just goes on forever with no additional info. I can see an additional line appear on the blue screen every time just as it turns off so it is unreadable.

Help please?

more info: The percentage bar never goes past 0% It just pops up and immediately goes back to the VAIO screen.

Hi Wesley,

This issue could be due to system files corruption, I would suggest you to try performing automatic repair using Windows 8 disc from Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and check if it helps.

To perform Automatic repair on Windows 8 computer follow these steps:

a.     Insert the media such as (USB or DVD) and restart your computer.

b.     Press F12 key (typically this is F12, but it can differ between computer manufacturers) and choose the drive that you inserted the installation media into.

c.     Once the Windows Setup window appears, follow these steps:

d.     Click next and select Repair your computer.

e.     You will then see a blue screen and an option to choose. Choose the option Troubleshoot and select advanced options.

f.      You may choose Automatic Repair from Advanced boot option.

Keep us updated on the status of the issue.

    HI, I also have this problem. I have tried restarting the computer and pressing all the F buttons which have been suggested, (from f1 to f12 ) and have had no luck, also I don't have any cds, usb or drives to use. so what now? where would I get these disks from. the laptop in question is a Packard bell easynote te.

    any response would be greatly appreciated.

    click on advanced options and go to refresh 

    and refresh your computer

    same thing happened to me

    i refreshed my PC and it worked fine

    I would do this but the pc won't let me, the only screens I get are the Packard bell loading screen and the blue screen which says 'your pc ran into an error', so really I have nothing to click or nothing to restart.

    How much time is there between those two events?   Typically that is when you are supposed to press something to get into the manufacturer's boot option screen (e.g. do such things as change your boot device, etc.)  If you need more help, e.g. to identify which keystroke to try you will need to give your specific model information.  Otherwise contact Packard Bell for learning the specific procedures you can try.
