A few years late but the problem still exists I see. Here was the solution for me on an Acer Aspire R15

Go to Chrome Settings > System and uncheck the following -

Use hardware acceleration whe

As per the description, you are unable to find the mouse pointer on the computer. Let’s analyze and identify the cause of the issue.

1.       What is the make and model of the computer?

2.       Was it working before?

3.       Are you using wireless mouse or external USB mouse?

4.       Are you aware of making any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

Method 1:

Let’s run the hardware troubleshooter and check.

a. Press “Windows key + W”.

b. Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the Search box and hit enter.

c. Select “Hardware and Sound” from the Troubleshooter Window.

d. Select “Hardware and Devices” under Devices option.

e. Follow the On Screen instructions.

Method 2:

If you are using touchpad mouse pointer, you may have to download the drivers from the manufacturer website.

Uninstall the Touchpad Driver and reinstall from the manufacturer’s website.

I would like to request to uninstall the Touchpad Driver and reinstall it back once again. Please follow the steps given below to uninstall the Touchpad Driver.

a. Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.

b. Select Device Manager.

c. Find and double-click Touchpad Driver from the left panel to uninstall

d. Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.

e. Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click OK to remove the driver.

f. After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer as soon as possible.

After you have successfully uninstalled the driver go to manufacturer’s website. Download the latest touchpad driver and install it.

I use the touchpad cursor. on occasion it disappears. I have selected press control to find cursor but nothing happens. one suggestion was to uninstall touchpad and go to mfgs. website and reinstall. how can you tell who the manufacturer is? More important why does it continue to happen? Damn frustrating
