Music stops playing on MS Surface when screen turns off.

I have a Microsoft Surface. I have my mp3's in my default Music folder. When I play an album, a song will play but it will not play the next song if the screen has turned off. I always need to hit the power button again to turn the screen back on in order to play the next song. This makes this device useless as a music player as I have to turn it back on every few minutes. Often the song will start skipping as well when the screen turns off. This is for the Music app but also any other music playing apps I've tried such as Music Info. And please don't tell me this is by design. It is not by design. It's a bug. It would be nice to know when this will be resolved. Playing an MP3 is a basic function that should just work out of the box. It really can't be that hard. If a $30 mp3 player can do it I sure expect my $700 tablet to.

    So here is what I've discovered...

    If I listen to XM through IE when my unplugged Surface display would time out/screen lock --> music playback stops.

    I downloaded the Sirius XM app from the store. 

    If I listen to XM through the app when my unplugged Surface display would time out/screen lock --> music playback continues, sometimes with a minor hiccough, but only at first.

    So maybe things are improving???

    Finally I got the solution. Follow these steps:

    1. Open the registry editor. (If you don't know how, open search Cortana and type "regedit")
    2. Using the folders on the left hand side, navigate to the following folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power
    3. Change the value of "CsEnabled" from 1 to 0
    4. Reboot your Surface.
    5. After rebooting, not only the issue of stopping playing get resolved but also you see "Power Saver" and "High Performance" options in your power options.

    I can confirm, this does not help. When I follow that, the moment I switch off my Surface Pro 3, it stops working and it kind of reboots. Takes the same time to get back, but it not really booted then. Basically it is worse than without these steps... :(

    I googled a bit and it looks like it's a problem with the Spotify or other apps, which are not perfectly adjusted to the Windows 10.

    What surprises me is the fact that I used to not have a problem earlier... I was using Windows 10 and Spotify and recently set up my system again. I don't know, if I had changed some settings earlier and if so, which ones.

    I found a simple solution all you need to do is close your cover to your surface then press the power button and music will play in the backround.
