I saw this post today and the information provided helped me fix this issue.

http://www.eightforums.com/hardware-drivers/17161-intel-wiusb-driver-not-working-properly.html

The link basically says to visit the Intel website and use the Intel Driver Update Utility. The utility will automatically scan your computer for devices that are eligible for an update. Hope this helps you because it helped me. I also updated my Wireless driver while I was using the Intel Driver Update Utility since a newer driver was recently made available.

This worked for me; however, I ended up having to uninstall the old Intel WiDi driver and then restarting my computer before the setup.exe file would run and install on my computer (dell inspiron). I did create a restore point in case it didn't work, but everything seems to be running smoothly!

I should also point out that just deleting the Intel WiDi driver also got rid of the yellow exclamation mark, and unless you are planning to try and connect to your computer to your TV wirelessly, I don't think it is something that you need. Here is a link that explains what the driver does:

I have a Dell Inspiron 17R Special Edition that I purchased Dec. 20, 2012 and my problem started with my computer dropping the wireless internet connection.  I did the exact same thing (changed the date) Now I too have an additional controller;  the same one you have.    For the past 24 hours I have not experienced random disconnections of the internet. However, this is after Dell Support took over my computer, deleted the  Intel WiUSB , put on a new one that cause my whole system to freeze, caused me to get low memory errors and caused Dell to reboot my system back to the original state at the time I bought the laptop.  Oddly enough, the reboot did not solve the problem.  The computer continued to randomly drop the internet connection and the reboot did not place JAVA on my system.  I asked Dell for another Laptop and they wanted to send someone to my home to replace parts without doing an assessment of the problem.  Who would have thought changing the date would solve the issue.  Its only been 24 hours so lets see what happens.  I'm still asking Dell to replace my unit; lets see what happens there as well.
