Thanks for the reply! I have an HP desktop with AMD CPU and Radeon graphics.
Event ID 20 - WHEA-Logger - AMD Northbridge
Since resolving an issue with my ATI Video Driver recently, I have started getting the following errors, once a day, which cause my system to restart unexpectedly.
I believe this to be a driver issue, even though it looks like a hardware issue.
When it happens, I am usually watching TV on it via my XBOX Media Center Extender.
Event ID 20 - WHEA-Logger
A fatal hardware error has occurred.
Component: AMD Northbridge
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: HyperTransport Watchdog Timeout Error
Processor APIC ID: 0
The details view of this entry contains further information.
My Computer is a Dell XPS 7100 with an AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor and ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series graphics adaptor.
All Dell diagnostics run cleanly and successfully.
Can anyone advise what to do to investigate further please?

2018-03-02T06:15:09+00:00 That's possible! I also updated the graphics driver recently, but these re-boots were not related to graphics driver before.
Yes, the no-fast-boot setting is the same for all users, I don't even think this is a user-specific setting.

2018-03-02T21:08:45+00:00 Is anyone having this issue with an external GPU or is everyone having the issue with integrated graphics?

2018-03-02T21:15:06+00:00 I have both a discrete and integrated GPU, I'm currently in the process of troubleshooting that issue with the AMD support, they proposed that the error might come from windows pushing an update on the integrated gpu, so we deactivated the chip and deactivated the automatic GPU driver update.(requires a specific piece of software)
I will update you guys with the full procedure if it solves the problem.

2018-03-03T08:14:11+00:00 I have an external GPU. I rolled back to the last stable version of the driver (18.2.1) with a clean installation.
The issue came back after a minor Windows update, but also after a graphics driver update (optional, 18.2.3). Of course I'm not sure it's because of that. We'll see.
