Event ID 20 - WHEA-Logger - AMD Northbridge

Since resolving an issue with my ATI Video Driver recently, I have started getting the following errors, once a day, which cause my system to restart unexpectedly.

I believe this to be a driver issue, even though it looks like a hardware issue.

When it happens, I am usually watching TV on it via my XBOX Media Center Extender.

Event ID 20 - WHEA-Logger

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Component: AMD Northbridge

Error Source: Machine Check Exception

Error Type: HyperTransport Watchdog Timeout Error

Processor APIC ID: 0

My Computer is a Dell XPS 7100 with an AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor and ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series graphics adaptor.

All Dell diagnostics run cleanly and successfully.

Can anyone advise what to do to investigate further please?

    Hay Lemontree210 when you log out to log into another account on your system to make sure that fast reboot is disabled as well ok maybe this is why you got a reboot then go check this out now ok

    I checked and it looks just like the reboots that stopped a month ago.

    First Kernel-Power Event ID 41 (critical), then after about 20 seconds WHEA-Logger Event ID 20.

    Same stuff. Just funny why disabling fast boot kept this at bay for one month and then it started again.

    But as I said I will have to wait for a few more days to see if the problem really has come back.

    I see this event among the last events, but I'm not sure yet that it caused the reboot. The minidump looks the same, though.

    I see some other errors before the reboot, maybe something went wrong when I logged out and logged in as a different user. Anyway, I'll keep an eye on that.

    Well, it was OK for more than a month with fast boot disabled, but tonight my PC rebooted again.

    I was already sure everything was over!

    Not sure what to do now. We'll see if it's a one-off or if it will start re-booting every couple of days again.

    Turned off hardware acceleration in Chrome to be sure

    Was it the same event ID in the systems log after this last unexpected reboot?
