task manager not starting error "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006"

1. No have not tried Cntrl- Alt-Del in safe mode. In safe mode I ran Avg and Spybot scans
2. AVG free version, updated daily (and now Spybot S&D)
3. New changes -

A )I added a non admin user (I was informed this is better to use while online, and it would keep most bots, hacker, spammers, from accessing my admin files. About a month ago.

B) After seeing a problem with task manager not working, I installed Spybot S&D, I immediately went into PANIC MODE and downloaded Kapersky TDDSKiller - thought it was a trusted quick scan, but it may have not BECAUSE THE COMPUTER HAS NOW CRASHED in a Major way. BSOD. Some how it did recover after several tries to boot up

Hope I typed in ALL this correctly.

I am in desperate Mode and backing all files right now, and my usb device connector (a special adapter to connect other ide or sata hard drives is NOT Being recognized, although it is listed in Deice Managet (without any yellow exclamation point), it Does Not show up in "My Computer" file.  Therefore I cannot backup.

Note: I just tried Task mgr and it failed, when I type cntrl-alt-del, it takes a long time, I get the hour glass for a cursor pointer, then I get the original error message and click ok and error appears AGAIN.

I am very nervous and old. thanks for your reply.

edit: 2nd Note I have been suspicious for 6 or 7 months, as Weird things began to happen - The A:drive would click on and light up and I have heard a bong sound as someone is plugging in or out a USB device and no usb device attached to my cpu except the very little usb antenna for the wireless mouse. Plus a few other instances that I don't recall now.

Method 1: Step 1: Check if the issue persists in Safe Mode with Networking.

If you do not face the issue in safe mode, then put your computer in clean boot and check for the issue.

Putting your system in clean boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. If yes, you may have to contact the program manufacturer for any updates or uninstall and re-install the program.

c.     Click the General tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services, and then click OK.

d.     When you are prompted, click Restart to restart the computer.

Method 2:

Run the System File Checker (SFC) scan on your computer.

SFC Scans and verifies the versions of all protected system files after you restart your computer.

Verify whether you are able to install the program successfully after this.

Method 3:

Run another virus scan on your computer.

Note: If any infections are detected during the scan, there might be a chance of data loss as the infected files will be deleted.

Also, check the Event Viewer to know the application that is causing this error.
