Windows 8 BSOD System Service Exception

I am also having the same issue, I have brand new pc .I even took the first one back but I am still having these BSOD. It always happens when I am on the internet usually right in the middle of doing my online assignments.Oh and another thing that happens sometimes  it looses its connection to my wireless internet.I am always able to get it reconnected but I shouldnt have to.

Those are the same things I've experienced. BSOD, lost connection to internet (wifi adapter turning off and need to disable and enable the adapter to be able to turn it on.) I also had some problems with the screen automatically dimming to 60% and then suddenly going to 100% over and over.

Sometimes the laptop suddenly just turns off in a heartbeat. One little *click* sound and its dead.

I removed the ASUS bloatware that regulates the screen brightness and contrast. Problem solved.

Dont know why ASUS would at such a program when you can do that stuff in windows. Those two were obviously in conflict.

I recommend everyone here in this thread to REMOVE as much of the bloatware as possible.

same Problem here. brand new hp Notebook, just installed the updates... today 5 times bsod always when i'm Surfing, first i thought it is Firefox, but it also occurs with ie... but total randomly...

You can return the product to HP within 21 days....I spoke to online support to see what I could do about the new laptop I bought...the exact same one as yours...and they said that because it is over 21 days, there is nothing I can do about it. They suggested that I go to online IT Tech support for HP. My advice to you is to just save yourself the frustration and time, and go get a new laptop...do not get a HP 2000 Notebook PC.....and for sure...if you can...avoid Windows 8. So frustrating.

My computer is just a few weeks old and has been working fine until today. I have gotten the blue screen of death many times today and each time it's said it has something to do with System_Service_Exception. If anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Device Manager from control panel then from View menu click on show hidden devices, then look for drivers under Non Plug and Play Drivers (More likely to be there), check if there is any danger sign on them, if there is, then try updating or uninstalling the driver then restart your PC.

It is recommended to perform scan using:

Make sure your system is clean first. use CCleaner to get rid of junk files: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

Perform scan for spyware also using superantispyware http://www.superantispyware.com/

Checking your disc for error can also help to fix the problem.

If above did not solve the problem then

Go to msconfig (type in search box in startmenu or run in xp then press enter) then prepare your PC for clean boot by disabling all startup items and none windows services then restart your computer. See if it make a difference? if it did then you have to find out which ones caused the problem.

Make sure your windows is uptodate and drivers are working properly and they are uptodate too.

Uninstall programs you don't use or you have recently installed that might have caused the problem.

Uninstall toolbars or any other unused third party programs.

to see what is in start up and remove redundant and disable unwanted programs

I could not agree more. I have a 4 day old Toshiba Satellite laptop with Win 8 and the last time I tried to open a youtube page with Google Chrome the laptop crashed! I wasn't running any other program -  this is clearly a Windows 8 issue and should be addressed immediately. Microsoft shouldn't rely on the fact that it has a monopoly on new computer OS market - in this world things change far too fast to be comfortable.

You got that right. I too have a brand new Toshiba Satellite laptop with Win 8.Keeps crashing on me when I am using Mozzilla Firefox for my online classes and then when it comes back up it says there are no available wireless networks which is bull*!*# cause my wireless router is working just fine. I had to start a project over 3 times yesterday cause it kept crashing. I had to give up on doing my homework yesterday morning cause I had to get to work, luckily I was able to get it done when I got off and turned in right before the deadline. At first I thought  I had a defective pc so I took it back to Best Buy and they just gave me another one. Microsoft definitely needs to get the issue fixed.
