Windows 8 BSOD System Service Exception

I just turned off Windows' automatic updates. Haven't had a BSOD since. Also I don't use many of the Windows 8 apps that require signing in with an email.

This is my exact problem. Brand new Toshiba machine, bought between Christmas and New Year's. Last week have begun getting the BSOD and it just now happened again. I am typing this on a Lenovo XP machine, while I wait for the other to reboot.

You are not alone, I agree this is unacceptable. I keep thinking there will be some sort of automatic software update happening...but nothing. I am also at a loss as to what email client will actually work on Windows 8 but I imagine that topic is discussed elsewhere.

I uninstalled the following updates and haven't got a BSOD ever since:

2799494

2790655

2778344

2795944

2803676

At least one of them must be the culprit

To uninstall, go to Control Panel -> Uninstall a program -> View installed updates -> Find the updates you want to uninstall, right click and choose Uninstall

Also, remember to disable automatic update so that they won't be automatically installed again. In other word, don't choose "Install updates automatically (recommended)". Choose one of the others, like "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them"

You can also hide the updates that you have uninstalled away so that Windows don't try to install them again. Don't worry, you can always come back to them later by clicking "Restore hidden updates"

EDIT: you may want to try 2778344 first, it seems that's the culprit

It Worked ***** NO BLUE SCREEN NO MORE *****  Thank You !!! I Uninstalled the Updates Also , But I did not Disable The updates all I did was Click Check for updates but let me Choose whether to download and install them ? and yes I seen the Updates Again ? so I unchecked Them and I have them Hidden Now Woooo Hoooo :-) But I Did Save the updates on a Note Pad So I can Keep a Eye on Them? Wow This is Great I can Use My Windows 8 Again without the Blue Screen and it restarting ! THANK YOU!!!! The Following Updates Were The Problem !!!! I Hope Microsoft sees this and Fixes the Problem Now :-)

I will try this. I don't know how to do that, though. So, if you can offer any guidance about how to uninstall and how to disable automatic updates, I'd appreciate it. (Otherwise, I'll google it and try to find out. That's how I ended up here!)
